If you buy a Humiwell product on Amazon, your order, payment, and delivery information is collected and processed by Amazon as a separate data controller, under Amazon’s own privacy notice — not by us. Our website is hosted with Hostinger. The Site’s live server is located in the United Kingdom. Hostinger stores backup copies of Site data (including form submissions) in Germany, within the European Economic Area (EEA) — so your data is not held exclusively in the UK.
The UK’s data protection framework recognises the EEA, including Germany, as providing an adequate level of data protection. Because the UK and Germany both fall within this recognised framework, no further transfer safeguard (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) is currently required for this hosting arrangement.
Google Workspace is provided by Google, which may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Google is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK government recognises as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred to certified US organisations.
If our hosting or backup arrangements change — for example, if data begins to be stored or processed outside the UK/EEA — we will update this policy and put an appropriate safeguard in place before that happens.
